Three Waves Scar & Stretch Mark FX

Your skin holds the story of a courageous life. We hold space for healing on the surface, and beyond.

My name is Terri and I am a Paramedical Tattoo Artist specializing in scar and stretch mark revision and camouflage. I use advanced medical grade serums and pigments to blend scars and stretch marks with your surrounding skin creating a natural looking result.

I came into this work through years as a Massage Therapist, Reiki practitioner and Tattoo Artist and through my own understanding that healing runs much deeper than the surface. Those experiences shaped everything about the way I work and the space I hold for people who come to me.

My mission is to help you move beyond the scar and feel truly at home in your skin.

I know that people who find their way here have often been waiting, sometimes for years, to feel ok in their own body again. Whether your marks came from surgery, growth, injury, struggles with mental health, or simply the full weight of a life lived, you deserve the care that honors not just your skin, but the spirit within that carries on.

The name Three Waves reflects the belief that healing doesn’t happen all at once. It comes in layers, in its own time, in its own rhythm. My work is to walk alongside you in that process, offering information and technical skill to restore your skin and the presence to support what that means for you.

I believe the body and spirit heal together and hold that as the foundation for every appointment.

Personalized Approach to Stretch Marks and scars

What is Inkless revision?

This is where we work on improving the texture and discoloration. If the scar or stretch mark is raised, sunken or textured we will start with Inkless revision. This can brighten darker tones as well. While microneedling and CO2 laser stimulate collagen and focus on overall skin rejuvenation, they don’t address scars and stretch marks with the precision that inkless revision does. Using gentle tattooing techniques I work directly within the delicate scar tissue carefully introducing NUE Conceal medical grade serums, specifically designed to target the damaged tissue, into the affected area. This stimulates collagen and elastin production through controlled micro-injury, signaling the body’s natural healing process to begin repair.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Depending on the severity, Inkless Revision typically requires two to six sessions. After each session we will re-assess together and evaluate the texture and tone to determine whether camouflage tattooing is our next step to fully blend the results with your surrounding skin, or if more treatments are needed to get you to your best results.

Inkless revision is a gradual process. Each session can require three to six weeks of healing time before we can proceed. The real work happens between appointments as your tissue responds and rebuilds. Between sessions we offer Red Light Therapy and detailed aftercare guidance to encourage optimal healing and help your skin respond as fully as possible.

Like all meaningful healing, the results are a reflection of the time and care invested in the process. We’re here to support you along the way.

What is camouflage tattooing?

Camouflage tattooing is a specialized technique used to blend and conceal skin imperfections such as scars, stretch marks, vitiligo and other variations in skin tone. Pigment is applied in careful, light layers, allowing us to build toward your ideal result gradually, making adjustments along the way. This layered approach gives you a natural, controlled outcome that can be refined over time.

For clients with flat, white or lightened scars where texture is no longer the primary concern, camouflage is often the final and most transformative step in the revision process.

The Technology Behind the Match

Achieving a truly seamless result can sometimes require more than a good eye. At Three Waves we use NUE Conceals’ skin tone reading technology, a specialized device that accurately reads your unique skin tone and identifies the ideal pigment match. Combined with personal expertise and an understanding of how pigment settles into skin over time, this technology allows us to work with confidence and get great results.

How Long Does a Camouflage Tattoo Last?

The longevity of a camouflage tattoo varies depending on factors such as skin type, sun exposure and the area of the body treated. Typically results can last several years, though touch-ups may be recommended over time to maintain your results. Protecting the treated area from sun exposure is one of the most effective ways to preserve your results long term.

Your camouflage tattoo typically heals within seven to fourteen days. We allow three to four weeks between sessions to give your skin time to heal and the pigment to settle. Most clients see their best results within two to three sessions.

Another wave of healing

What to expect after Pigment Tattoo Camouflage

After your camouflage session the treated area may appear red, swollen and slightly tender, similar to a standard tattoo. This is completely normal as healing typically takes seven to fourteen days.

During this time it is important to follow your aftercare instructions. Keep the area clean, avoid sun exposure, and allow any scabbing to resolve naturally without picking.

Note that the pigment may appear darker or slightly different in tone during the healing process. As your skin heals and the pigment settles, the color will continue to evolve and soften into a more natural, seamless result.

Our goal is achieving a perfect match which is why we work in layers and check in across sessions.

What to Expect After Inkless Revision

Immediately following your session, the treated area may appear red and swollen. This is completely normal and usually subsides within 24 to 48 hours. Some redness may persist as healing continues.

As your skin heals, the redness may gradually shift to a brownish hue. This is a natural part of the process and can take up to three months to fully resolve. We monitor your progress throughout and make appropriate recommendations to support your healing along the way. You’re not in this alone. We got you!

Healing is personal. Factors like age, lifestyle habits, diet and location and severity of the treated area can all influence your timeline. Following your post-treatment care instructions carefully will support the fastest and most complete recovery possible.

Red Light Therapy

At Three Waves, red light therapy is a natural extension of your Treatment.

Every session concludes with red light therapy, giving your skin an immediate head start on healing.

Red light therapy works by penetrating the skin at a cellular level, encouraging the body’s own healing response.

We recommend continuing red light therapy in between sessions to support the healing process. In-house red light therapy sessions are available to book separately, or included as part of our treatment packages.

LED / red light therapy benefits for paramedical tattooing - reduces inflammation, speeds skin recovery, stimulates collagen and elastin, minimizes swelling, and supports pigment retention. Client receiving red light therapy treatment.
